Artist's Description
This is a painting of the Chinese Garden at the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis, Missouri. The swooping roof of the pavilion and the intricate details make the painting even more beautiful. The foliage around creates a magical atmosphere. Light bends around the pillars and flowers dance in the foreground.
I painted this for a local event called Wall Ball. It benefits Artscope, which is a community arts organization in Tower Grove Park, here in St. Louis. The painting was inspired by an amazing photo from a local photographer, Steve Frank.
