Description
The weather had put me in a sleepy winter mood. In St. Louis the weather is quite cold for a long time in winter and we had four days of rain! I had gone to a friend's house and was recharged and in amazingly great mood. It was a pleasant break from the mood the weather had put me in. On the way home I was inspired to document the mood and feeling I had right that moment. I began taking photos on the way home, but the St. Louis weather did not refelct my mood. I noticed when the trees were wet they were purple. And when the sky was raining, it wasn't just blue, I saw mint and purple. When the rain was on the buildings, it reflected the colorful purples, mints and blues from the sky. Inspired by the day, I looked back through the photos I had taken the other day when I was also feeling so very happy. I came across this picture of some cute little houses in St. Louis and could see the beautiful colors in it that I had just seen outside. After many layers of paint and many hours of details, I finished "Growing in St. Louis" and was so happy to have captured that moment in time.
